Pharmacovigilance training was solid

I signed up for the Pharmacovigilance training and it was a pretty comprehensive program. The online modules were easy to navigate, and they really did provide practical hands-on experience with Argus Safety, which was a big plus for me. Delivery of the course materials was instant after enrollment. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about module access. The instructors were knowledgeable. The quality of the content felt industry-standard. I feel much more prepared for the field now.

Learned a lot with Oracle Clinical

I did the Oracle Clinical training and it was really useful. Like, I actually got to use the software, which is what I needed. The self-paced modules were great because I could do them whenever. It took me a bit to get used to the platform, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. They also offered placement assistance, which was cool. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to learn those applications.

Decent value, few small issues

I enrolled in the Clinical SAS programming course. The content was quite good and the price felt fair for what I got. The live online training sessions were informative, and the trainer knew their stuff. However, sometimes the connection for the live sessions was a bit spotty, which was a minor annoyance. Delivery of the e-learning access was prompt, though. I wish there had been a bit more interaction with other students, but overall, it was a practical learning experience and I'd recommend it, just be aware of potential tech hiccups.

anyone know if the early bird discount applies to the bundle courses too? trying to combine a couple things.

B Brian T. 2 weeks ago
Usually early bird and bundle deals are separate, or they'll have a specific 'bundle course deal'. I'd check the promotions page, sometimes it explains.

I think they do bundle discounts sometimes, but it might not stack with early bird. Best to look at the 'bundle course deal' section, that's where I found mine.

wondering about job prospects after these courses, specifically the CRA program. do they help with job placement at all?

B Brian Anderson 3 weeks ago
They do offer some placement assistance, yeah. Like resume help and mock interviews. My batch had a few people get jobs through that.

B Brittany Roberts 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they have services for that. I mean, it's not a guarantee, but they definitely try to help you get ready for interviews and stuff.

hey, was looking at the Oracle Clinical training. do they actually give you access to the software or is it just theoretical slides?

K Karen J. 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I took the Inform EDC course last year and they set up a virtual environment or something for practice. It was pretty good.

Can confirm, for the Clinical Data Management course I did, they definitely gave access to Oracle Health Science stuff. Made a huge difference.

thinking about getting the Pharmacovigilance training but also James Lind Institute has one. anyone have experience with both or why Clinskill might be better?

M Melissa Jackson 2 weeks ago
I haven't done James Lind, but Clinskill's focus on Oracle Health Science applications for PV is a big plus. That's real-world software employers care about.

Clinskill often has more practical, hands-on stuff with industry tools. My impression is that some competitors are more theoretical. Depends on what you're looking for though.

how legit are the certificates from Clinskill? like, are they actually recognized by employers in the industry?

A Adam D. 1 month ago
From my experience, yes. I put my Clinical Data Management cert on my resume and it definitely helped during interviews. They seem to be well-regarded.

They say they are industry-recognized, and I haven't heard otherwise. I think the hands-on Oracle stuff is what really makes them stand out to employers.

considering the Pharmacovigilance training, but not sure if i qualify. do you need like a medical background or can anyone sign up?

B Betty Rodriguez 3 weeks ago
I think for PV you usually need some kind of life science degree. They list the prerequisites on the course page, might want to check there.

My friend did it and she had a pharma background. I'd check the specific course description, usually says what they expect you to know already.
